The national convention and contest is the ultimate culmination of the regional contests for the AGM Music year.  The contest holds the AGE, concerto and North american invitational championship FInals on the final day of the contest.   There is another qualifying round on the first day of the contest to give students one last shot to qualify for the advanced finals. 

All students are invited to attend regardless if the qualified or not   all the customary solo (Length of Study, testlist, Evaluation, Age and Pop), duet and Group categories are offered. 

A cadet teachers clinic is held to give advanced students the basics  of teaching.  there is a convention choir and a convention orchestra for contests, adults and teachers that rehearses nightly and performs at the grand awards banquet at the end of the contest.  Most importantly there is time for the students to sight see as a family, relax at the pool and meet other students from different teachers to build a comradery that will last a lifetime and help the students grow and excel as musicians.
